Job summary

Bain Capital welcomes a Co-Op in Partner Services Operations in Boston to support portfolio administration, data entry, and cash reconciliation. You will collaborate with a driven team while building strong MS Excel skills and exposure to multiple internal stakeholders across the firm’s alternative investment platform.

PARTNER SERVICES OVERVIEW

The Bain Capital Partner Services Group provides Partners with confidential, professional services including:

• consolidating financial information
• identifying personal investment opportunities
• investment diligence
• performance reporting of personal investments
• loan program management
• philanthropic services and managing various other personal services

The Partner Services Group is also the main point of contact for third party family office service providers and vendors. Members of the team regularly collaborate with members of nearly every internal department in the firm, including investment professionals, other internal finance departments, tax, legal, HR, compliance and IT.

Co-Op responsibilities will include the following:

• Initial point of contact for inbound communications to the Partner Services group
• Managing the Partner Services portfolio performance and document management databases
• Preparation and processing of wires and the reconciliation of cash for external investments, compiling and tracking cash flows as they pertain to the investment activity of the Partner Services goup
• Input of data into Excel templates to support the creation of ad-hoc and scheduled reports

• Improve technical skills within the Microsoft Office suite of products as well as other systems utilized by Bain Capital and other leading financial institutions

• Be responsible for an abundant workload as well as have involvement in challenging projects

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Progression towards completion of a Bachelors Degree in Finance or other business major
• Preferred 2nd co-op
• Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint, exposure to Box a plus
• Excellent project management and organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal skills with capacity to interact and communicate with all levels

Compensation: Expected Hourly Rate of Pay $24.00 – $26.00 Actual hourly rate of pay will be determined by a wide range of factors including but not limited to role, function, level, experience, qualifications and geographic location.
