Tempting Talent in Downtown Miami is seeking a proactive sales professional to map active mandates, research how firms are structured, and open conversations with senior professionals using targeted outreach.
You will build market intelligence, identify high-caliber candidates, qualify them rigorously, and develop deep sector relationships that translate into placements and referrals. This is an on-site role with strong growth potential.
Our client is a specialist search and advisory firm covering the alternative investment space - hedge funds, proprietary trading firms, and asset managers across North America, the UK, and Europe. They place investment, research, and technology professionals into roles where hiring decisions move the needle on performance and capital. The approach is relationship-led and backed by proprietary systems and data: precision over volume, execution over process.
A sales role, but not just a cold-calling one. You'll build real market intelligence - how firms are structured, what drives a strategy, who's worth talking to and when - and use it to open conversations with people who ignore most approaches. In practice:
Degree and background matter less than the person. They want someone intellectually curious, sharp at reading people, commercially driven, and capable of writing outreach that earns a reply from senior professionals. Self-starters who want a platform to build on, not a manager standing over them.
Minimum requirements: exceptional written and verbal English (non-negotiable); 3-12 months' work experience (internships count); evidence of leadership or standout performance outside academics; any degree discipline.
Base $50,000, rising to $55,000 post-probation; 1st year OTE $75,000-$95,000; uncapped commission from your first placement.
A six-week onboarding program leads into structured coaching and fast, merit-based progression (high performers often promoted within 12-18 months), with a choice later between an individual-contributor or management track.
Benefits:
Four days on-site in Downtown Miami (Wednesdays remote-optional); 8:30-6:00 Mon-Thu, 8:30-4:00 Fri.
No visa sponsorship available for this role.
