Job summary

Jim 'N Nick's Community BBQ in Statesboro, GA is seeking an experienced Chef to lead kitchen and dining room operations, run shifts, and ensure quality, service, and safety standards. This role emphasizes strong leadership, coaching, and adherence to company policies.

The successful candidate will manage BOH budgets, forecast needs, hire and develop team members, and ensure exceptional dining experiences for guests while driving sales and maintaining cost controls.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; some college preferred.
• Three to five years of high-volume full-service restaurant management experience preferred.
• Exceptional leadership and motivational skills required.
• Ability to attract, train, develop and retain top team members.
• Strong guest service focus to deliver an exceptional dining experience.
• Ability to set and achieve financial goals including sales growth and labor cost management.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of dining room and kitchen systems; run effective shifts.
• Provide direction, coaching and development for staff and managers.
• Ensure consistent execution of systems, standards and cost controls.
• Communicate goals to General Manager and Local Owner regularly.
• Maintain cleanliness of facilities and adequate supply levels.
• Oversee BOH schedules, staffing goals and guest satisfaction.
• Oversee inventory procedures and weekly departmental inventory coaching.
• Manage BOH budgets including forecasting.
• Participate in hiring to maintain staffing levels.
• Ensure food and service standards and great guest experience each shift.
• Follow safety procedures when operating equipment.
• Handle multiple priorities under pressure and exercise good judgment.
