Job summary

Coastal Waste & Recycling is seeking a Regional Vice President of Operations to lead multi-site solid waste collection, recycling operations, and post-collection facilities across South Florida. This hands-on executive role directs District Managers, improves productivity, drives safety and DOT compliance, and delivers regional P&L results.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in solid waste, recycling, environmental services, transportation, logistics, or equivalent operations.
• 7+ years overseeing multiple operating locations, districts, or business units.
• Direct responsibility for regional P&L, safety, productivity, and operational execution.
• Strong understanding of DOT, OSHA, fleet safety, and operational compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, develop, and hold accountable District Managers and regional leaders.
• Build a safety-centered culture with accountability and continuous improvement.
• Set strategic vision and priorities for the region aligned with Coastal's mission and long-term goals.
• Own regional financial performance including budgeting, forecasting, and procurement oversight.
• Ensure districts meet operational, financial, safety, and customer service goals.
• Oversee collection operations, facilities, fleet maintenance, and compliance with regulations.
• Lead acquisitions, contract transitions, and new facility start-ups.
