Job summary

Security Industry Specialists, Inc. is seeking an Off-Duty Officer to provide a safe and secure environment in Charleston.

The role focuses on advanced planning, threat assessment and client protection, with duties ranging from executive protection to on-site surveillance and safeguarding client assets. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, 3+ years of law enforcement experience, POST certification, CCW permits, and state guard certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Three plus years of law enforcement experience
• POST certification
• Active CCW and Exposed Firearms permits
• Complete and maintain state guard certification as prescribed by state law

Responsibilities

• Must be flexible and possess the ability to function in stressful situations
• Ability to work independently and provide exceptional customer service to our clients
• Build a safe and friendly setting for visitors and clients in a professional manner, as well as safeguarding client assets
• Observe for unusual activity and respond immediately and safely to emergency situations on-site
• Investigation and surveillance support
• Product escort
• Executive protection
• Perform other related duties as required

Education

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Three plus years of law enforcement experience

POST certification

Active CCW and Exposed Firearms permits

State guard certification
