Job summary

PFC Safeguards, INC is seeking an Executive Protection Agent in San Francisco, CA. This role is on a Quick Response Team, focusing on crisis prevention and rapid emergency response for client leadership and staff.

The position requires a minimum of 3 years of SWAT or equivalent tactical experience, a valid CA guard and firearm permit, and readiness for 12-hour shifts in an urban setting. Comprehensive training and development are provided.

Responsibilities

Qualifications
Essential Functions
  • Serve as a member of the Quick Response Team, providing crisis prevention, intervention, and emergency response support
  • Protect client personnel including executive leadership, employees, and customers in a dynamic urban environment
  • Conduct threat assessments, site surveys, advance work, and real-time situational monitoring
  • Respond rapidly and decisively to emerging threats, security incidents, and emergency situations
  • Provide tactical first aid and emergency medical response as required
  • Operate and safely carry an authorized firearm in accordance with all applicable laws, company policy, and client requirements
  • Maintain detailed incident documentation, operational logs, and after-action reports
  • Coordinate closely with client security teams, law enforcement, and emergency services
  • Uphold the highest standards of professional conduct, discretion, and operational security at all times
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 21 years of age.
  • T en plus years of extensive law enforcement, public safety or security operations preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of documented SWAT or equivalent tactical team experience required.
  • Basic technical and tactical shooting skills and fundamental combative abilities.
  • Tactical first aid and emergency medical response training required.
  • Must possess a valid California Concealed Weapon Permit.
  • Must hold and maintain a current California BSIS Guard Card and firearm permit.
  • Must possess a valid driver\'s license (maintained throughout employment).
  • Must provide proof of authorization to work in the United States.
  • A LEOSA or HR218 is required.

Candidates who meet the initial qualifications will be required to pass a job-related physical agility assessment as part of the screening and hiring process.

Schedule
  • Full time with schedule flexibility required.
  • 12-hour shifts – 6:00am to 6:00pm
Physical Demands
  • Mobility & Stamina: Must be able to stand, walk, and remain on foot for extended periods up to 12 consecutive hours across uneven terrain, stairs, inclines, and indoor and outdoor environments in all weather conditions
  • Mobility & Stamina: Must be able to sprint short distances, crouch, kneel, bend, and assume defensive or low-profile positions as operational demands require
  • Mobility & Stamina: Must be able to ascend and descend stairs, ramps, and elevated platforms rapidly while maintaining situational awareness
  • Strength & Load Bearing: Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull a minimum of 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds during specific assigned tasks
  • Strength & Load Bearing: Must be physically capable of restraining, repositioning, or supporting another adult in emergency scenarios
  • Vision & Sensory: Requires acute near and distance vision, peripheral awareness, depth perception, and color vision to monitor environments, assess threats, and operate safely in all lighting conditions including low-light and nighttime settings
  • Vision & Sensory: Must maintain visual acuity during high-stress, fast-moving situations
  • Hearing & Communication: Must be able to hear and clearly understand spoken communication in loud, crowded, or chaotic environments
  • Hearing & Communication: Must be proficient in earpiece and radio communications while simultaneously monitoring the surrounding environment
  • Dexterity & Fine Motor: Must demonstrate safe and proficient handling, deployment, operation, and re-holstering of a firearm under stress, in low-light conditions, and with one hand if required
  • Dexterity & Fine Motor: Must maintain the dexterity to apply restraints, administer first aid, and operate communications and electronic equipment in dynamic environments
  • Environmental Tolerance: Must be able to work effectively across a full range of weather conditions and environments including extreme heat, cold, rain, wind, and direct sun exposure for extended durations
