Job summary

RTX Corporation in Arlington, VA is seeking an experienced Executive Protection professional to coordinate travel, secure transportation, and oversee security for senior leadership. The role requires DoD Secret clearance, US citizenship, and the ability to obtain LEOSA and TSA ASO certifications.

You will liaise with management, law enforcement, and industry partners, develop security plans, and maintain executive transport assets while supporting company events and security operations onsite.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in security operations, or like experience in the armed forces or with local law enforcement at the federal, state and/or local government level.
• Possess, or be able to obtain, Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act (LEOSA) certification.
• Possess, or be able to obtain, TSA Armed Security Officer (ASO) certification.
• Ability/willingness to adjust work schedule, often on short notice, to accommodate leadership schedule and security needs.
• Experience maintaining close liaison with government and industry security, law enforcement and/or intelligence professionals.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate schedules/itinerary for travel planning with the principal’s EP team members and executive assistants.
• Drive primary and secondary routes in advance for all local venues.
• Support flights as needed in and out of Reagan International Airport as a TSA-Armed Security Officer.
• Liaise with management, industry reps, customers and law enforcement for executive protection, events, operations and objectives.
• Develop comprehensive physical security plans and risk/vulnerability assessment methodologies.
• Maintain executive transport vehicles, including inspections and maintenance tracking.
• Provide security at company sponsored events.
• Supplement other members of the Physical Security organization as directed.
