Job summary

Chesapeake Utilities Corporation is seeking a Manager, Capital Projects to lead a high‑impact, multi‑billion dollar capital program. This hybrid role requires driving governance, strategy, safety, and performance across engineering, construction, procurement, finance, and regulatory teams while managing external partners and executive stakeholders.

You will shape the program vision, deliverables, and investment decisions, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and regulatory requirements,

Qualifications

• 15+ years leading large capital projects or programs.
• Senior leadership delivering large-scale infrastructure, energy, or utility projects.
• Experience guiding cross‑functional teams and external partners.
• Valid State Driver’s license.
• PMP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as executive leader and primary accountability for the FEP program (> $1B).
• Establish project vision, execution strategy, governance, and delivery model.
• Oversee safety, scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and performance.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams across engineering, construction, procurement, finance, legal, regulatory and operations.
• Direct program planning across interdependent workstreams.
• Develop executive relationships with regulators, customers, and stakeholders.
• Lead governance boards and investment review forums.
• Provide strategic recommendations on investments, risk, and regulatory strategy.
• Approve major changes, contracting strategies, and resource allocation.
• Oversee controls, forecasting, and executive reporting.
• Drive project recovery and corrective actions when needed.
• Lead through all phases from development to operations readiness.
• Ensure regulatory, environmental, financial, safety, and governance compliance.
• Sponsor continuous improvement of enterprise project management.
