Job summary

San Antonio Shoemakers (SAS) is seeking an Executive Payroll Specialist to process executive payroll on a part-time basis. The role requires high attention to detail and discretion in handling confidential information.

Responsibilities include payroll processing via ADP Workforce Now, 401(k) plan administration, and reporting for management control. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in Accounting with 3–5 years of payroll/audit experience and proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and Access.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• At least 3–5 years payroll or audit experience.
• Experience with ADP or comparable payroll systems is a plus.
• Strong skills with Word, Outlook, Access and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll accurately and timely using ADP Workforce Now.
• Calculate and communicate commission payments to CFO.
• Maintain payroll records for new hires, terminations, and changes.
• Create/maintain reports using ADP Reporting and Excel for management and controls.
• Maintain security within ADP and 401(k) plan administration.
• Coordinate 401(k) plan audits and workers’ compensation activities.
• Monitor taxes, benefits contributions, garnishments, and deductions.
• Protect confidential information and company data.

Position

SAS has an opening for a detail oriented Executive Payroll Specialistto process our Executive Payroll.This is a part time position (10 to 15 hours per week) and is an opportunity for an individual that is self-disciplined, organized, has attention to detail and the ability to deal with confidential material discretely.

Job Responsibilities

• Pay employees accurately and timely using ADP Workforce Now.
• Responsible for calculating and communicating commission payments to CFO.
• Maintain payroll information by inputting, reviewing, and verifying all new hires, terminations, and changes to employee records using ADP Workforce Now.
• Create/Maintain reports using ADP Reporting and Excel to share information with management and for internal controls.
• Responsible for maintaining and establishing security systems within ADP
• Serve as plan point of contact and administrator for 401(K) plan
• Responsible for maintaining and coordinating AAP reporting
• Responsible for coordinating worker’s compensation and 401(K) plan audits.
• Monitor federal, state and local taxes, Social Security contributions, employee benefit contributions, garnishments, and other deductions
• Maintain employee confidence and safeguard confidential information.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in a stationary position.

• Must be able to lift 20lbs.

Education & Experience Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• At least 3-5 years of work experience in payroll and/or audit experience
• Experience with ADP or comparable payroll systems is a plus.
• Must have strong skills with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Access and Excel
