Job summary

MGM Resorts International in Las Vegas seeks an Executive Pastry Chef to direct bake shop operations 24/7, ensuring quality and presentation of all baked items. You will work with senior culinary leadership to maintain controls on purchasing, and develop menus that showcase innovative desserts.

Ideal candidates bring 2+ years of pastry experience, a Bachelor’s degree, and prior supervision under a collective bargaining agreement in a luxury dining environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ Years of Pastry experience in a high-volume or luxury setting.
• Leadership experience managing a team of cooks or pastry staff.
• Bilingual; English required with additional language a plus.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage bake shop operations on a 24-hour basis to ensure proper preparation of all baked items.
• Collaborate with Executive Sous Chefs and Sous Chefs to maintain purchasing and receiving standards.
• Lead menu development and design with the Executive Chef and F&B Director, ensuring consistency with standard recipes.
