Job summary

The City of Pasco is seeking an experienced Parks and Recreation Director to lead a diverse portfolio of services that enhance the community's quality of life. You will guide recreation programs, parks, aquatics, and animal services, while reporting to the City Leadership Team and collaborating with City Council and regional partners.

Qualifications

• Ten (10) years of combined relevant education and/or experience.
• Experience leading and developing employees, supervisors, managers, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience developing and administering operating and/or capital budgets.
• Strategic and operational leadership for complex programs and projects.
• Ability to build partnerships and communicate with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership and strategic direction across Parks and Recreation divisions.
• Develop, present, and administer operating and capital budgets and monitor metrics.
• Build regional partnerships and represent the department before Council and public.
• Lead planning and delivery of recreation programs, services, and events for Pasco residents.
• Oversee parks, trails, aquatics, and animal services with long-range planning responsibilities.
• Ensure effective organizational systems and improve customer experience and asset management.
