Job summary

City of Grand Rapids, MI seeks a full-time operations professional to bridge executive leadership, Board governance, and system-wide project execution. The role oversees executive support, project coordination, and compliance, with independence in standardized areas.

The position reports to the Library Executive Director, with support from the Deputy Director, and requires initiative, discretion, and strong organizational skills to advance strategic objectives for GRPL.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience in public administration, nonprofit administration, or project management.
• Minimum 2 years of progressive professional experience coordinating executive/board operations or cross-functional projects.
• Valid driver license and vehicle insurance required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate executive calendar management and meeting administration for Library Executive Director and internal executive team.
• Prepare board packets, record minutes, and track action items for boards and committees.
• Track grant lifecycles, compliance, and reporting; maintain centralized grant records.
