Job summary

Great River Regional Library is seeking a Library Services Coordinator to oversee day-to-day operations, staff direction, collection management, programming, outreach and patron services. You will lead efforts to meet regional strategic goals and ensure a safe, welcoming environment for diverse patrons.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required; Master’s in Library Science helpful.
• Library or customer service experience with supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, train, evaluate and coach library staff.
• Assist with hiring new staff.
• Provide customer service to patrons.
• Manage local budget and cash payments.
• Plan and implement library programs for diverse patrons.
• Promote the library with community groups.
• Monitor the library building and coordinate maintenance.
• Track and report library activities.
• Develop relationships with community partners and groups.
• Ensure safety and welcoming environment in public areas.
