Job summary

Black Diamond Pest Control is seeking an experienced Chief Operating Officer or Senior VP of Operations to translate the CEO's strategic plans into actionable goals. You will oversee daily operations, cross-functional teams, and ensure scalable processes across locations.

Responsibilities include monitoring KPIs, optimizing margins, building repeatable systems, and mentoring department heads. A data-driven leader with strong EQ and P&L insight will thrive in this high-growth service environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive operational leadership experience
• 5+ years operating at the executive or senior management level within the service sector
• Proven track record of scaling service-based business models
• Experience implementing structured operating frameworks (strong advantage)
• Execution-oriented: translate growth targets into concrete weekly/monthly scorecards
• High Emotional Intelligence (EQ) for managing frontline staff and executives
• Data & financial acumen: read P&L, labor-cost reports, capacity utilization metrics

Responsibilities

• Translate the CEO's strategic plans into actionable operational goals, budgets, and milestones.
• Monitor KPIs, track operational dashboards, and eliminate bottlenecks.
• Design, implement, and streamline company policies, workflows, and quality assurance standards.
• Oversee daily operations: manage end-to-end service delivery workflows, client onboarding, and quality assurance.
• Build, document, and scale repeatable operational systems to support multi-location or high-growth expansion.
• Partner with the CEO to manage departmental budgets, labor forecasting, and operating expense targets.
• Monitor gross margins across service lines, identify inefficiencies in scheduling, vendor contracts, or resource allocation.
• Directly oversee and mentor operational leaders; address high-turnover environments with engagement and retention strategies.
• Break down silos between sales, account management, and operations to align delivery with promises made during the sales cycle.
