Qualifications

• Significant experience in senior operations or general management within apparel or wholesale consumer goods.
• Strong understanding of wholesale distribution to major department stores and national retailers.
• Experience improving processes in growing, entrepreneurial, or mid-sized organizations.
• Ability to work with product-led teams across design, merchandising, sales, production, and sourcing.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to manage cross-functional priorities without heavy corporate infrastructure.
• Experience with systems improvement, workflow design, or ERP-enabled processes is preferred.
• Must work primarily from New York City office.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional operational coordination across sales, production, design, merchandising, finance, HR, and support teams.
• Improve internal workflows, communication routines, and handoffs between departments.
• Support the onboarding of new retail customers and ensure internal teams understand requirements, timelines, ownership, and deliverables.
• Assess staffing needs across departments and partner with leadership on hiring plans, role clarity, and resource allocation.
• Help ensure that each area of the business has adequate coverage, backup, and cross-training.
• Identify process gaps and propose practical improvements to increase efficiency, accountability, and scalability.
• Partner with finance to evaluate the cost and budget impact of operational plans and additional resources.
• Collaborate with the warehouse leadership team as needed, while focusing primarily on the broader corporate and cross-functional operating model.
• Support special projects related to systems, process improvement, organizational structure, and business growth.
• Serve as a senior operational partner to the President/General Manager and ownership.
