Job summary

OU Health is seeking an AVP of Nursing for Emergency Services in Oklahoma City. This executive role oversees nursing operations, upholding standards and ethics to ensure safe, high-quality patient care across the health system.

The AVP will lead multi-disciplinary teams, drive data-driven change, manage the department budget, and align with OU Health values. A strong leader fosters civility and equity while guiding performance and professional accountability.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required.
Master's in Nursing, Business, Healthcare Administration or relevant field required.
Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) preferred.
5 to 7 years of progressive leadership experience.
Current RN License (OK Board or eNLC with residency within 6 months).

Responsibilities

Develops and operationalizes strategic initiatives in patient care delivery across the health system.
Leads and supports initiatives that promote a culture of civility and identify bias in care delivery.
Implements data-driven approaches to transformative change through collaboration with others across the organization to achieve enterprise-wide metrics.
Upholds professional accountability to ensure strategic initiatives and deliverables are executed with high-quality and cost-effective outcomes.
Manages the overall budgetary and financial responsibilities of the department, supporting annual planning and budgeting.
