Job summary

Goldwater Care seeks an experienced administrator to direct daily facility operations and ensure adherence to federal and local standards. You will work with department directors to implement policies, oversee staff performance, and maintain high quality resident care.

The role includes developing corrective action plans, coordinating training, and ensuring safety, financial controls, and regulatory compliance across all departments. Strong leadership and decision-making are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in public health administration, business administration, or health-related field preferred.
• Must hold a current, unencumbered Nursing Home Administrator license.
• 2 years of supervisory experience in healthcare preferred.
• Knowledge of reimbursement regulations and nursing practices and procedures, and related laws and guidelines.
• Ability to make independent decisions when warranted.
• Ability to read and interpret financial records and reports; communicate policies clearly.

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day facility operations and ensure compliance with federal and local standards.
• Assist department directors in developing policies, procedures, and professional standards of practice.
• Ensure adherence to facility policies by staff, residents, visitors, and the public.
• Conduct daily staff meetings during inspections to discuss surveys and action plans.
• Develop plans of correction for deficiencies with timetables and monitoring methods.
• Review workforce competence and make necessary adjustments.
• Assist in recruitment of department directors, supervisors, and other staff.
• Counsel or discipline personnel as needed and appropriate.
• Collaborate with directors to improve services and operations.
• Coordinate in-service training and orientation to keep material current.
• Ensure physician compliance with policies and report issues to Medical Director.
• Monitor safety regulations, infection control, and fire prevention across the facility.
• Review incidents and risk management effectiveness; maintain safe, clean resident environment.
• Oversee resident funds and ensure proper accounting per regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
