Schaffer Extended Care Center, part of Montefiore Health System, seeks an experienced administrator to oversee all operations of a 150-bed hospital-based nursing home and a 50-bed rehabilitation unit. The role includes participation in system committees and ensuring compliance with NY and Federal regulations.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of progressive management experience in healthcare, a healthcare-related degree (MBA preferred), and an active SNF Administrator license.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of progressive healthcare management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or related field required; MBA preferred.
• SNF Administrator License is required.
• Strong written and verbal communication and leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operations of 150-bed hospital-based nursing home, including a 50-bed rehabilitation unit.
• Plan, organize, direct, control and coordinate all areas of the nursing home operation in line with policies and regulations.
• Participate on Health System administrative committees and ensure regulatory compliance.
