Job summary

McLaren Health Care seeks a Vice President, Patient Care Services Chief Nursing Officer to lead nursing services, clinical information services, case management and performance improvement across the Medical Center. The role reports to the CEO and collaborates with MRMC leaders to plan, staff and evaluate patient care operations.

The position requires a Master’s degree in Nursing or related field, Michigan RN licensure, and at least seven years of senior hospital management experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing, Health Care Administration or related field is required.
• Current registered professional nursing licensure in the State of Michigan is required.
• Minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible management in a hospital or health care system or setting.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and clinical expertise for nursing services, clinical information services, case management and performance improvement.
• Collaborates with MRMC leaders to plan, organize, staff, direct, evaluate, and ensure patient care functions.
• Maintains collaboration with the medical staff to develop clinical services and quality patient care.
• Directs and administers budgets and ensures compliance with regulations and accreditation.
• Oversees determination-of-need and cost-benefit analyses; authorizes major purchases.
