Job summary

OU Health’s Emergency Department is seeking an Emergency Services Manager to lead Edmond ED operations in a full-time day-shift role (8 AM–4 PM). The manager will oversee daily nursing practice, quality metrics, and patient safety while aligning with OU Health values and leadership.

Strong budget skills and clinical leadership are essential. The position requires a Bachelor’s in Nursing, 3–5 years of leadership experience, and an RN license in Oklahoma (or multistate compact).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Nursing required; Master's in Nursing preferred.
• 3–5 years of demonstrated nursing leadership experience required.
• Current RN license with Oklahoma residency or multi-state compact (eNLC).

Responsibilities

• Accountable for clinical care and departmental performance and metrics.
• Supports strategic quality initiatives to promote safety, civility and mitigate bias.
• Develops and updates performance improvement tools, productivity reports, fiscal status and quality statistics.
• Resolves patient complaints in a timely manner in accordance with policy and collaboration with staff.
• Establishes and implements policies and procedures; ensures compliance with regulatory bodies.
• Manages department budget and resources; understands organizational financial processes.
• Represents nursing with senior leadership to ensure quality patient care.
• Fosters an inclusive workforce and coaches staff to achieve metrics.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
