Job summary

Parkwood Behavioral Health System is seeking a Chief Nursing Officer to integrate a patient-centric nursing strategy with a focus on high-quality, cost-effective care aligned to the mission of Universal Health Services. The CNO will participate in strategic planning and oversee nursing operations across a 148-bed inpatient and residential program.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice professional nursing in MS.
• BSN from a CCNE-accredited program; MSN preferred within first year of employment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of behavioral health nursing clinical practices and management.
• Strong knowledge of nursing principles and patient care activities.
• Demonstrated management and supervisory skills; strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead a patient-centric nursing strategy aligned with Parkwood and UHS mission and values.
• Coordinate integration of nursing services with strategic plans and regulatory requirements.
• Drive focus on five areas: People, Service, Quality, Growth, and Finance.
• Support facility autonomy with corporate education and governance structures.
• Contribute to leadership development programs and clinical education, including tuition assistance.
