Job summary

The Hotel at the University of Maryland, College Park, MD, is seeking an Executive Meeting Manager to join our Sales & Marketing team. You''ll manage client relationships, guide events from inquiry to execution, and collaborate with culinary, catering, and operations to deliver exceptional meeting experiences.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years in the hotel industry.
• At least one year of sales experience in hospitality.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, holidays, and events.

Responsibilities

• Maintain client relationships and generate new business opportunities for guestrooms, meetings, and events.
• Coordinate event details, including space, catering, AV, and room setups.
• Prepare proposals, contracts, and BEOs; communicate program requirements.
• Collaborate with Culinary, Catering, and hotel departments to deliver memorable events.
• Use Amadeus Delphi, Salesforce, and Cvent for planning and bookings.
