Job summary

Cook County Health seeks an Associate Chief Medical Officer of Logistics and Administration (ACMO) to partner with the CMO and executive leadership to advance workforce, transformation, growth, and fiscal resilience across all care settings.

The ACMO drives strategic initiatives and provides oversight of day-to-day clinical operations, throughput, resource utilization, transition of care, and productivity while ensuring safe, compliant patient care in a large urban health system.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree with board eligibility or certification.
• Licensed in Illinois before starting employment.
• Experience in regulatory compliance and performance improvement.
• Proven record in clinical leadership and administration.

Responsibilities

• Lead hospital-wide policy development and compliance oversight.
• Oversee medical activities and communication of policies across hospitals.
• Ensure appropriate medical staffing to support safe patient care.
• Assist with budgeting, contract management and financial oversight.
• Act as liaison to department chairs on workforce, budget and operations.
