Accompany Health, Inc. in Bethesda, MD is seeking an Executive Medical Director to lead market-based clinical care systems and report to the Chief Medical Officer.

You will work closely with the Head of Market Operations, VBC leadership, and Product teams to drive high-quality care and cost performance. The role requires 8+ years of clinical practice with senior leadership experience, board certification in primary care, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with active medical licensure and willingness to obtain multi-state licensure
• Board Certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, or related specialty
• 8+ years clinical practice experience, 5+ years in senior clinical leadership overseeing physicians/APCs and clinical managers in value-based care

Responsibilities

• Design and execute operational systems to deliver excellent patient-centered clinical care
• Drive market KPIs, cost of care reduction, and HEDIS/STARs performance
• Directly manage Market Medical Directors and Clinical Directors/Managers; coach leadership
• Lead strategic clinical innovation including AI-enabled care models
• Ensure adherence to evidence-based guidelines and company policies
• Oversee market implementations, clinician hiring, and payor partnerships
• Dedicate up to 10% of time to direct patient care; support on-call schedules
• Travel monthly to markets as needed
