Job summary

The Clinical Medical Director role is a senior physician leader responsible for overseeing clinical performance across multiple care centers within a defined market. The position is approximately 80% administrative and 20% clinical, with a strong focus on quality outcomes, provider leadership, and operational execution.

Primary responsibilities include coaching physicians, driving quality metrics, and leading preventive care and population health initiatives in a fully capitated value-based care

Qualifications

• Board-certified physician (Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or related).
• Proven leadership experience in a multi-site or team-based environment.
• Experience with value-based care, Medicare Advantage, HEDIS/STAR and population health initiatives preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight across multiple primary care centers
• Coach, mentor, and develop physicians and clinical teams
• Drive performance across key quality metrics
• Lead initiatives to improve preventive care, chronic disease management, and patient engagement
• Partner with operations leadership to ensure consistent execution of the care model
• Support provider recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing development
• Maintain a small clinical panel (~100 patients annually)
