Job summary

Compass Group USA in New York seeks an experienced Senior Events Manager to lead all meetings and events for a flagship client, directing planning, coordination, and delivery with a hospitality-focused team.

You will partner with executives, hosts, and stakeholders to deliver innovative event solutions, drive profitability, safety, engagement, and operational excellence while coaching staff and maintaining service standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum seven years of progressive experience managing complex meetings, events, hospitality operations, or conference center services.
• Strong leadership experience managing and developing direct reports.
• Proven experience independently managing high-profile meetings and events from concept through execution.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop hospitality professionals to deliver exceptional service.
• Oversee end-to-end event lifecycle for high-profile meetings and events.
• Partner with hosts, executives, and clients to translate objectives into event strategies.
• Lead planning meetings, site visits, and risk management for events.
• On-site operational lead ensuring seamless execution for VIP events.
