Job summary

Highgate Hotels in New York seeks a Meetings and Events Manager to oversee all aspects of the Convention Services Department, coordinating client functions and guiding staff to deliver luxury service.

You will handle group room blocks, banquet & F&B planning, site visits, and billing, while ensuring VIP guest satisfaction and alignment with hotel standards. Flexible schedule including some nights, weekends, and holidays may be required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Meetings and Events Manager role is a plus.
• Experience with luxury establishments and VIP services.
• Proficiency with Opera, Delphi/Salesforce, Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Produce resumes, BEOs and process billing for group room blocks and F&B functions.
• Ensure planning meets luxury standards and VIP guest expectations.
• Conduct site visits and site inspections.
• Coordinate with internal departments to distribute documents and manage trace dates.
• Ensure deposits and billing procedures are correctly implemented in the system with Credit/Accounting and Sales.
• Host planning meetings and pre/post convention meetings.
• Ensure guest satisfaction through smooth execution and post-event surveys.
