Role Description

The Executive Loan Officer is a full-time, hybrid role based in Midwest, WY, with flexibility for partial work from home. This position is responsible for originating residential mortgage loans, guiding clients through the application process, and providing expert advice on loan products that fit their financial goals. Daily activities include assessing borrower eligibility, coordinating documentation, submitting files for underwriting, and communicating clearly with clients about loan terms and status. The Executive Loan Officer will collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure loans move efficiently from application to closing while maintaining compliance with regulatory and company standards. The role also involves building and maintaining referral relationships, managing a pipeline of loans, and delivering high-quality customer service throughout the lending process.

Qualifications

• Experience in loan origination and working as a Loan Officer, with a track record of successfully managing a loan pipeline.
• Strong finance knowledge, including understanding of mortgage products, interest rates, and basic credit and income analysis.
• Background in underwriting or close collaboration with underwriting teams, with the ability to interpret lending guidelines and documentation requirements.
• Exceptional customer service skills, including clear communication, active listening, and the ability to guide clients through complex financial decisions.
• Familiarity with loan origination systems and basic proficiency in office software (e.g., CRM tools, spreadsheets, and document management platforms).
• Relevant licensing or registration as required by state and federal regulations (e.g., NMLS registration) or the ability to obtain these promptly.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a hybrid environment, manage time effectively, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• High ethical standards, attention to detail, and commitment to regulatory compliance and data privacy.
• Prior experience in mortgage lending or financial services is preferred; additional sales or relationship management experience is beneficial.
