Job summary

Dade County Federal Credit Union is seeking a Chief Lending Officer to lead the credit union's lending functions across consumer, commercial, mortgage, and indirect lending. You will drive growth, quality, and compliance while coordinating with executive leadership and the Board.

The role requires deep expertise in underwriting standards, policy development, portfolio management, and staff leadership to deliver strong member outcomes and competitive lending products.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 10 years of executive lending leadership experience in a financial institution is required.
• Strong analytical, financial, organizational, communication, negotiation, and leadership skills are required.
• Experience interfacing with Board of Directors and senior management is essential.
• Excellent oral and written communication and strong interpersonal skills are expected.

Responsibilities

• Provides executive leadership over the Credit Union's lending function, including consumer, commercial, indirect, mortgage lending, and related operations.
• Develops, recommends, and implements lending strategies, underwriting standards, policies, and procedures.
• Directly responsible for achieving loan growth, portfolio performance, and lending production goals.
• Oversees lending compliance and ensures documentation and practices align with laws and policies.
• Leads and develops lending department leadership and staff, including performance management and training.
• Participates in strategic planning, budgeting, and reporting on lending performance to senior management and the Board.
• Directs the lending department budget and monitors financial performance to support profitability.
