Qualifications

• 10+ years of executive lending leadership experience in a financial institution, including oversight of lending, credit, and loan operations.
• Strong analytical, financial, organizational, communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
• External contacts are vital, requiring interaction with the Board of Directors, community and business leaders, and internal senior managers.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership over the lending function across consumer, commercial, indirect, mortgage, and related lending operations.
• Develop and implement lending strategies, underwriting standards, policies, and procedures to support responsible loan growth.
• Monitor portfolio trends, loan quality, and performance against goals; communicate results to executives and Board.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and Credit Union policies in lending activities.
• Oversee budget development and administration for the lending department; manage staffing and performance.
