Job summary

Rowan-Cabarrus Community College seeks a Vice President of Corporate and Continuing Education to steer strategic planning, program development, and operational management of its workforce education initiatives.

The role reports to the College President and focuses on strengthening employer partnerships, aligning with industry needs, and expanding enrollment across regional programs. Strong leadership and public higher education experience are required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in business, education, or a related field with a focus on workforce development and / or adult education.
• At least eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience, including five years in senior management roles, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• As the third largest continuing education provider in the state, exceptional supervisory skills are necessary to lead a division comprising approximately 50 full‑time employees and over 100 part‑time temporary faculty members.

Responsibilities

• Reporting directly to the College President, the Vice President is responsible for strategic planning, development, administration, and operations of the Corporate and Continuing Education programs.
• Lead efforts to strengthen employer/business partnerships, respond to workforce and industry needs, and drive enrollment growth.
• Enhance program outcomes that support both individual learners and regional economic development.
