Leeds Professional Resources in Charlotte, NC seeks a Vice President of Construction to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight of commercial plumbing construction projects.

Responsibilities include guiding project managers, field operations, budgeting, safety, scheduling, client relationships, and profitability, with a track record of delivering complex projects safely, on time, and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 7–10 years of leadership experience managing large construction teams.
• Experience managing projects ranging from $10M to $20M+ and multiple sectors.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the construction operations strategy to support growth and profitability.
• Provide leadership and oversight for Project Managers, Superintendents, Field Operations Managers, and other construction personnel.
• Manage all phases of commercial plumbing projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and meet quality standards.
• Collaborate with estimating, engineering, BIM/VDC, fabrication, purchasing, and executive leadership during planning.
• Monitor project financial performance, including budgets, labor productivity, forecasts, and profitability.
• Review and approve project schedules, staffing plans, procurement strategies, and subcontractor performance.
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures and performance metrics.
• Foster relationships with general contractors, owners, developers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
• Lead workforce planning, recruitment, mentoring, and professional development initiatives.
• Ensure OSHA compliance and adherence to local building codes and safety policies.
