Job summary

State Street is seeking a Market Data Sourcing and Category Strategy Head (Managing Director) to lead a global team and drive the Market Data strategy. You will oversee contract preparation, analysis, negotiation, and execution, partnering with businesses, legal, and risk to ensure compliant, cost-effective data products and services across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree. A Master’s degree and/or Law degree a plus.
• 10+ year proven experience managing high performing global teams.
• Deep understanding of contracts with experience in review, negotiation and drafting. Market Data experience a plus.
• Strong integrity, strategic spend management across global categories.

Responsibilities

• Develop product/service strategy across market data categories, including pricing and reference data.
• Develop vendor strategy aligned with product/service strategy.
• Create a preferred vendor list balancing capabilities and cost.
• Partner with Businesses and Corporate Areas to understand client and product strategy.
• Optimize spend by reducing unnecessary demand and cost.
• Identify and manage initiatives to significantly reduce the expense base.
• Source products/services from optimal vendors at best prices.
• Negotiate and manage large Market Data agreements.
• Ensure contracts reflect negotiated terms and usage rights, with legal and risk teams.
• Ensure end-to-end contracting is completed timely and stakeholders are informed.
• Collaborate with TPRM to follow policies and mitigate 3rd party risk.
• Perform duties in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
