Job summary

Urban Plates LLC in Pasadena, CA seeks a REAL Chef / Executive Kitchen Manager to lead culinary operations, ensure food quality, and coach kitchen staff. You will collaborate with the General Manager and Regional Chef to deliver outstanding guest experiences in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.

The position offers a generous pay range of $75,000–$90,000 with a achievable bonus plan, plus comprehensive benefits, paid time off, a nine-week management training program, and growth

Qualifications

• Experience cooking from scratch with fresh, quality ingredients.
• Experience managing Cost of Goods and inventory management.
• Experience leading and developing BOH Team Members including Prep and Line Cooks, Sous Chefs, and Jr. Sous Chefs.
• Experience with state-of-the-art kitchens and top-of-the-line equipment (Rational Ovens, blast chillers, KDS, and related tech).

Responsibilities

• Manage culinary operations in the restaurant and ensure excellent food quality.
• Oversee kitchen performance and coach Team Members, communicating with General Manager and Regional Chef.
• Uphold standards, safety, and food safety requirements across BOH.
• Leverage advanced equipment and systems to optimize efficiency and consistency.
