Job summary

The Huntsman Mental Health Institute (HMHI) seeks an Internal & Executive Communications Manager to shape communications for staff and senior leaders. You will create engaging internal content and polished executive materials, aligning messaging with HMHI’s mission and University of Utah Health branding.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalency) + 6 years of related work experience, or Master’s (or equivalency) + 4 years of related work experience.
• Four to six years of progressively responsible experience in communications, with demonstrated experience supporting senior leadership or executive-level communications preferred.
• Strong writing and copyediting skills; ability to craft executive communications, speeches, and thought leadership content.

Responsibilities

• Develop internal communications plans to engage employees including physicians, researchers, staff, and faculty.
• Write, edit, and oversee internal content across newsletters, leadership letters, annual reports, event materials, blog posts, and intranet pages.
• Deliver core internal communications including loop screens, signage, and events announcements.
• Design polished, high-impact executive materials for senior leadership (presentations, board materials, town halls).
