Job summary

Duke Health Lake Norman Hospital is seeking a Director of Integrated Communications to lead internal communications and align messaging with hospital leadership and system marketing. This role focuses on transparency, engagement, brand stewardship, and change management across departments, with oversight of governance, content, and executive communications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations, healthcare administration, business administration, or related field required.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Five years of directly related experience is required.
• Experience developing and executing strategic communications programs, including internal communications, executive messaging, organizational change communications, and integrated marketing alignment.

Responsibilities

• Lead integrated communications strategy aligned with hospital and system priorities.
• Ensure alignment across internal, marketing, digital, and community-facing communications.
• Provide strategic counsel to senior leadership on messaging and engagement.
• Supervise communications staff and external vendors, fostering a high-performing culture.
