Job summary

W&T Offshore, Inc. is seeking a VP/Director of Health, Safety, Environmental & Regulatory (HSE&R) to guide safety and environmental strategies across offshore operations.

The role collaborates with executive leadership to manage regulatory compliance, ESG reporting, and SEMS initiatives in a fast-paced energy company. The position requires hands-on leadership, offshore regulatory knowledge, and the ability to drive continuous improvement through audits, incident investigations, and training

Qualifications

• 15+ years of hands-on senior HSE management in offshore energy.
• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills with executive presence.
• Experience communicating with regulators (BSEE, BOEM, USCG, state regulators).
• Knowledge of applicable offshore regulatory requirements and ESG/reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead HSE & regulatory strategy and objectives for the company.
• Oversee HSE & SEMS audits, incident investigations, and training programs.
• Manage regulatory submissions (EPs, DOCDs, permits) and ESG data reporting.
• Coordinate with legal and external partners on regulatory matters.
• Represent the company in industry groups and with regulators.
• Develop and implement policies, programs, and procedures across sites.
