Job summary

Markent Personnel is seeking a hands-on Human Resources Manager for a manufacturing client located near Pittsburgh. This role partners directly with CEO/President and senior leadership to shape people strategy and culture in a 24/7 unionized environment of ~130 employees.

You will balance strategic HR leadership with day-to-day operations, including labor relations, workforce planning, and compliance, while leading a small HR team and external support. This is a full-time on-site role.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including at least 3 years in an HR management role
• Experience in a unionized manufacturing environment with CBA administration, grievances, and labor negotiations
• Strong knowledge of federal and state employment regulations (NLRB, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, OSHA)

Responsibilities

• Serve as a strategic member of the executive leadership and production planning teams, aligning HR initiatives with business objectives
• Lead recruiting, onboarding, workforce planning, and succession initiatives to ensure talent and leadership pipelines
• Oversee comprehensive employee benefits portfolio and retirement programs
• Administer 401(k) plans as needed and support governance activities
• Partner with Safety & Security to reinforce policies, training, and a safe working environment
• Develop and modernize HR processes through HRIS, training, and workforce development initiatives
• Prepare HR reporting for senior leadership and the Board
