Job summary

Boyd Gaming Corporation is seeking an experienced hotel housekeeping supervisor in Michigan City, Indiana to lead daily operations of the housekeeping and custodial departments. You will ensure cleanliness of public areas and guest rooms in line with company standards and manage staff, scheduling, and training.

The role requires strong organizational, communication, and customer-relations skills, plus knowledge of the latest cleaning techniques, safety programs, and relevant software.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Three years of experience in hotel housekeeping operations preferred.
• Knowledge of latest cleaning techniques, chemicals and equipment, and OSHA safety programs.
• Computer literate with LMS and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Excellent organizational, communication, and customer relations skills.
• Ability to obtain/maintain local gaming certifications/licenses.

• Handle all personnel-related matters including interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and discharging.
• Monitor daily operations to ensure facilities are cleaned and maintained per standards.
• Manage staff, equipment, and supplies aligned with business and budgetary objectives.
• Prepare and analyze reports relative to department operations; make operational adjustments as needed.
• Resolve guest and employee issues and requests.
• Establish department guidelines, rules, regulations, and training programs.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Job Description

Ensure that the cleanliness of all public areas and guest rooms are maintained in accordance with company and/or departmental standards. Manage staff and ensure practices and procedures are consistently followed.

• Handle all personnel-related matters including but not limited to interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and discharging.

• Manage staff, equipment, and supply levels in alignment with business and budgetary objectives and needs.

• Other duties as assigned by management.

• Must have excellent organizational, communication, and customer relations skills.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary certifications and/or licenses as required by local gaming regulations.
