Job summary

Boyd Gaming Corporation is seeking a housekeeping supervisor to lead and develop a team within our hotel operations. You will hire, train, schedule, coach, and counsel staff while maintaining service standards and safety policies.

This role focuses on daily supervision of housekeeping, coordination with hotel operations, monitoring cleanliness, and addressing guest requests. A high school diploma and 3 years in housekeeping are preferred; LMS and MS Office familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Three (3) years of experience in hotel housekeeping operations preferred.
  • Must be knowledgeable in the latest cleaning techniques, chemicals and OSHA safety programs.
  • Must be computer literate and able to utilize LMS and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Must have excellent organizational, communication, and customer relations skills.
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary certifications and/or licenses as required by local gaming regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and discharging employees.
  • Monitor daily operations to ensure facilities are cleaned and maintained in accordance with company and/or departmental standards.
  • Manage staff, equipment, and supply levels in alignment with business and budgetary objectives and needs.
  • Prepare and analyze reports relative to the operations of the department. Make operational adjustments as appropriate.
  • Ensure coordination of room status updates between the Housekeeping and Hotel departments.
  • Resolve guest and employee issues and requests.
  • Establish department guidelines, rules, regulations, and training programs.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
