Job summary

InterContinental Hotels Group is seeking a Head Housekeeper to assist the Operations Manager in supervising housekeeping and laundry and to maintain high standards of cleanliness and service.

The role focuses on managing staffing, training, budgeting and guest satisfaction while ensuring compliance with safety and service standards. It involves daily operation oversight and occasional on-duty management responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with at least 1 year of housekeeping supervisory experience.
• Must be able to speak local language(s).

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day staffing requirements, plan and assign work and set performance goals for employees.
• Provide mentoring, coaching and feedback to improve employee performance.
• Educate and train staff to comply with safety regulations and have proper tools.
• Promote teamwork and coordinate with other department heads.
• May assist with deep cleaning and high-volume staffing periods.
• Supervise housekeeping and laundry operations to maintain standards.
