The Hoodoo Moab is seeking a hands-on, organized, and hospitality-focusedExecutive Housekeeper to lead our housekeeping operation and ensure every guestroom and public space meets the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, andservice. This role oversees guest rooms, laundry, and public areas, while leadingand supporting the housekeeping team to deliver a consistently exceptional guestexperience.
Our Executive Housekeeper will play an important role in daily hotel operations bymanaging staffing, room assignments, inventory, training, quality control, andcoordination with Front Desk and Maintenance. What You'll Do
- Lead the daily operations of the housekeeping department, including guestrooms, laundry, and public spaces.
- Ensure guestrooms and public areas are cleaned thoroughly and stocked with allrequired amenities according to current brand standards.
- Promote positive guest relations by demonstrating Western States Lodging &Management hospitality and service standards.
- Oversee laundry operations to ensure linens are properly cleaned and handledaccording to local health department standards.
- Train housekeeping and support staff on proper cleaning techniques, safetyprocedures, and department standards.
- Create weekly housekeeping schedules based on occupancy, businessdemands, and operational needs.
- Assign and organize guestrooms daily to ensure efficient housekeepingcoverage.
- Monitor housekeeping boards daily and verify that room-cleaning informationaccurately reflects occupied and available rooms.
- Inspect rooms and public areas to ensure they are maintained in excellentcondition and communicate maintenance issues or deficiencies through workorders.
- Coordinate with the Front Desk to ensure room status information remainsaccurate and up to date.
- Review completed rooms with the Director of Rooms to support accurate payrollprocessing.
- Maintain accurate lost-and-found records and inventory while making every effortto facilitate the return of guest belongings.
- Monitor housekeeping supplies and maintain appropriate inventory levels for in-room and operational needs.
- Order necessary housekeeping and operational supplies while maintaining appropriate inventory controls.
- Complete quarterly linen inventories and monitor linen usage.
- Maintain the department's MSDS information and ensure it is current and readilyavailable for reference.
- Communicate effectively with guests, vendors, associates, and other hoteldepartments.
- Support management with reasonable requests and responsibilities within thescope of the position.
What We're Looking For
- Previous housekeeping, hotel operations, or hospitality leadership experiencepreferred.
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience is strongly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and quality.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with guests and coworkers.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-pacedenvironment.
- Ability to follow cleaning procedures, safety requirements, and sanitationstandards.
- Ability to lift and carry required items and supplies up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to push, pull, bend, stoop, and reach overhead as needed.
- Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to work around cleaning chemicals and follow appropriate safetyprocedures.
