Job summary

Sonesta Hotels International Corporation in Fort Lauderdale is seeking a dynamic General Manager to oversee a full-service hotel or resort, leading operations, driving guest satisfaction, and delivering financial performance.

You will lead cross-functional teams across Front Office, F&B, Sales, Revenue, Engineering, and Spa while building a culture that aligns with Sonesta's People People philosophy. 7+ years in senior hospitality leadership and a Bachelor’s degree are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in hospitality, business, finance or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive hotel leadership or executive operations experience.
• Experience as General Manager, Resort Manager, Hotel Manager, or senior operations leader.
• Strong knowledge of hotel operations, luxury hospitality, guest experience, and revenue management.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, forecast, and drive KPIs and profitability.

Responsibilities

• Lead all hotel operations including Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, Banquets, Sales, Revenue, Engineering, Spa, Recreation, Security, and guest services.
• Drive guest satisfaction and service culture across all departments to deliver luxury experiences.
• Recruit, develop, coach, and inspire hotel leadership teams to support engagement and performance.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, labor management, expenses, profitability, and revenue growth initiatives.
• Collaborate with Sales, Revenue, Marketing, and Operations to maximize occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, and market share.
• Monitor KPIs, guest satisfaction scores, and operational performance for continuous improvement.
• Lead strategic planning, capital projects, owner relations, and long-term property performance initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with brand standards, OSHA, food safety, safety policies and legal requirements.
• Represent Sonesta in the local community, industry events, and partnerships.
• Support group business, conferences, weddings, VIP experiences, and events for seamless execution.
• Foster a positive, collaborative culture aligned with Sonesta's People People leadership.
