Job summary

Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows in Santa Monica seeks a Senior Housekeeping Leader with 2-3 years in a similar setting to manage a 30-45 person team and drive departmental goals. You will oversee payroll within budget and collaborate on capital projects for guest areas, while maintaining Fairmont standards.

You will lead recruitment, promote health and safety, and liaise across departments to ensure service excellence and environmental initiatives are followed.

Qualifications

• Senior housekeeping leadership required with 2-3 years in a similar establishment.
• Proven leadership, development and delegation skills to lead a 30-45 colleague team.
• Strong organizational and administrative skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Knowledge of Opera property management system.
• University degree or Hotel Management Diploma preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a medium-size team of 30-45 colleagues to achieve the departmental goals.
• Oversee payroll and departmental expenses within budgeted and forecasted guidelines.
• Develop and execute capital projects related to guest rooms and public areas.
• Actively engage with local partners and source new business opportunities.
• Oversee recruitment processes and develop departmental succession plans.
• Maintain an environment promoting health, wellness and safety for colleagues and guests.
• Liaise with other hotel departments and participate in committees.
• Ensure cleanliness and maintenance per Fairmont Hotels & Resorts standards.
