Job summary

Saft is seeking a General Manager in Valdosta, GA to oversee all site operations, drive profitability, and lead strategic initiatives across manufacturing, safety, and quality. You will manage planning, staffing, and investments, while collaborating with sales and HR to meet performance goals and grow the business.

The role requires a senior leader with deep P&L experience, lean manufacturing know-how, and a track record of delivering results in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in business administration, management, finance, or another relevant discipline.
• 15+ years of progressive experience in all functions of a manufacturing facility.
• Knowledge of standard cost accounting and budgetary control.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Very experienced in automation and lean manufacturing; preferably battery experience and/or automotive experience.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the P&L to achieve committed profitability and to reach site objectives.
• Oversee day-to-day operations, planning, staffing, and decision making.
• Coordinate with HR on KPIs for direct reports and development plans.
• Ensure delivery and quality of product to customers; engage in key customer activities.
• Oversee safety, environmental compliance, and facility maintenance.
