Job summary

Saft is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead product development and manufacturing operations, ensuring compliance with industry standards. You will set strategic goals, optimize processes, manage engineering teams, and collaborate with cross-functional experts to develop manufacturing plans while upholding company policies and vision.

Qualifications

• Minimum fifteen (15) years’ experience in leadership roles within a manufacturing organization leading engineering.
• Demonstrated understanding of financial and operational performance data is required.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to drive change and accountability in a fast-paced, international matrix organization.
• Leads across cultural, geographic, business, and functional boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Set and enforce a department budget.
• Analyze current manufacturing operations to locate inefficiencies.
• Lead engineering to make improvements to increase profits.
• Coordinate with upper management to align with overall company goals.
• Develop effective automated and non-automated systems.
• Support evaluation of manufacturing processes based on quality criteria, such as efficiency and speed.
• Study production and machine requirements.
• Develop and test effective automated and manual systems.
• Oversee the design and installation of equipment.
• Integrate disparate systems (e.g., equipment handling, transport).
• Optimize facility layouts, production lines, machine operations and network performance.
• Ensure that procedures follow safety and environmental regulations.
