Job summary

COREcruitment is seeking a General Manager for an upscale restaurant in New York City to own the operation and drive guest experience and financial performance.

You will lead the floor and back-of-house teams, manage the full P&L, forecast budgets, and set the standards for service, quality, and culture. The role requires hands-on leadership, strong financial acumen, and the ability to develop and mentor a high-performing team.

Qualifications

• Proven GM experience in a full-service premium concept.
• Background in upscale or fine dining environments.
• Strong financial acumen with P&L, labor, and cost management.
• Hands-on leader on floor and in numbers.
• Ability to build, train, and lead high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

• Owning the full P&L - driving revenue, managing costs, and hitting financial targets
• Overseeing day-to-day operations with a strong presence on the floor
• Leading and developing management and hourly teams
• Managing labor, scheduling, and staffing levels in line with business needs
• Partnering with BOH leadership to ensure seamless service and product quality
• Monitoring and improving KPIs, efficiencies, and overall performance
• Handling budgets, forecasting, and identifying opportunities for growth
• Creating a strong culture, accountability, and team engagement
