Job summary

Ahold Delhaize USA is seeking a Pilot to ensure safe and efficient air transportation for executives and passengers within the ADUSA Aviation Department. You will assist the Captain in flight operations, planning, maintenance status, crew management, and regulatory compliance, upholding safety and company policies.

The role requires extensive flight experience, FAA qualifications, and strong decision-making skills to operate under varied conditions and coordinate with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Commercial Instrument Multi-Engine Land
• Valid FAA Class I Medical Certificate
• Experience in a corporate or commercial aviation setting
• Flight time of at least 1,500 hours total
• 75 hours actual or simulated instrument time
• Minimum 75 hours night time
• Driver's license
• General working knowledge of aircraft operations
• Thorough knowledge of advanced aircraft systems and avionics
• Familiarity with FAA FAR Part 91 and ICAO Annexes
• Knowledge of aircraft Scheduling including mobile technology applications
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, iPad and related software
• Excellent interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Ensuring Safety: The Pilot ensures safe flights through pre-flight checks, in-flight decisions, and vigilant risk mitigation.
• Flight Planning: plan routes, calculate fuel needs, and consider weather and airspace restrictions using software and experience to optimize flight efficiency and safety.
• Aircraft Maintenance: during pre-flight inspections, ensure maintenance compliance and collaborate with maintenance personnel.
• Communication: Pilots communicate with executives, aviation personnel and vendors using specialized equipment and protocols.
• Decision-Making: make critical in-flight decisions using experience and training.
• Cost Management: manage flight costs while prioritizing safety.
• Customer Service: provide excellent service to passengers, ensuring aircraft readiness and provisioning.
• Additional duties as needed to meet business needs.
