Job summary

Virginia Military Institute seeks a Deputy Superintendent for Finance and Support to act as chief financial and administrative officer. The role oversees budgeting, accounting, facilities planning, capital projects and procurement, with responsibility for the museum system, infirmary services and government relations.

Reporting to the Superintendent, the deputy manages an operating budget of about $125 million and collaborates with external partners and boards to advance institutional priorities.

• Leads capital outlay planning and facilities master planning.
• Coordinates with state and external partners to advance priorities.

Responsibilities

• Directs financial accounting, reporting and budget administration.
• Oversees operation and maintenance of the physical plant.
• Plans and directs capital outlay projects and CIP.
• Manages procurement, museum system and infirmary services.
• Provides executive oversight of the operating budget (~$125M).
