FUSE is seeking an Executive Fellow to advance Phoenix's regenerative food system goals. The role combines deep research, stakeholder engagement, and policy analysis to strengthen local food production, distribution, and land-use integration.

The Fellow will oversee two major studies, deliver actionable reports by fall 2027, and guide implementation considerations with city partners. Salary highlights reflect a year-long public service commitment and benefits.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressively responsible experience in organizational transformation and change management.
• Synthesizes complex information into clear and concise recommendations and action-oriented implementation plans.
• Develops and effectively implements strategic and operational project management plans.
• Generates innovative, data-driven, and results-oriented solutions to complex challenges.
• Responds quickly to changing ideas, responsibilities, expectations, trends, strategies, and other processes.
• Communicates effectively verbally and in writing and excels in active listening and conversation.
• Fosters collaboration across multiple constituencies to support more effective decision-making.
• Establishes and maintains strong relationships with diverse stakeholders inside and outside government.

Responsibilities

• Conduct two major analyses: a comprehensive food supply chain study and an evaluation of developer incentives.
• Engage stakeholders through interviews, listening tours, and landscape analysis to inform Phoenix's goals.
• Develop strategic recommendations to advance the 2030 Food Action Plan and policy decisions.
• Deliver two core analytical reports and supporting materials by project deadlines.
• Support early-stage planning and cross-department collaboration as time allows.
